Rise and shine! After a good night rest (at least ten hours) everyone woke up nice and early (at 6.30 local time). The jet lag was just a memory! Our morning started from Starbucks where Toni made the first timer's mistake; 0.5 litres of coffee. The black gold gave us the energy to walk from Manhattan all the way to Brooklyn. During the walk we managed to see the construction site of WTC, the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. We also saw Jewish people, a great number of Jewish people: children, women and men, men with magnificent furry hats and nice white tights (not able to describe them in any other words). Apparently the day was special for them but no one of us had the guts to ask.
Anyway, we ended up in Williamsburg which seemed to be quite a nice place, especially because it was such a sunny weather. Onni was shopping like a maniac. From there we went to see Greenwich Village and the Cafe Wha?, a place for good music, at least apparently in the past. Back in Manhattan we were sadly to discover that it is impossible to buy a pre-paid wireless internet access in the US. They wanted us to buy a device (apparently the same thing as "mokkula", which we even don't need) for $129!!!! So, unfortunately, we’re still missing the internet access.
Now we all can enjoy the rest of the evening watching Toni dancing half-naked and listening to New York City Boy by The Pet Shop Boys.
