The next day was the short flight from Kuala Lumpur to Siem Reap in Cambodia - again I flew Malaysia airlines and it was lovely - nice fish curry again.

The hostel I am staying at had a tuk tuk (remork) driver waiting for me at the airport so after shelling out for the visa I found him waiting for me. It was a warm windy journey to the hostel and I’m on the top floor. Bloody hell it’s like an oven in my room - and all I’ve got is a fan! I’m trying to save a few dollars a night by not having air con, but it’s hell!

I got up early the next day to take in the sunrise over Angkor Wat - a 5.30 meeting with my tuk tuk driver Gee wan (I think that’s how he spelled it) and we were off! The place was quite full, most people had got their seats already. I managed to get a stone where I thought would be a good place and it would have been apart from the Japanese woman who kept walking around in front of me!

I managed some good photo’s I think… more atmospheric since I’ve found my exposure button! Then once I’d watched the sun come up and looked around Angkor Wat I was taken around some of the other temples. Again… they started to all look the same - but the best ones in my opinion were the temples that had been ravaged by nature.
