We left the Badlands half heartedly and headed east towards home.....500 miles today.
First stop Iowa - actually right on the border of Nebraska and Iowa outside of Omaha.
It really was a pretty drive along the Lewis and Clarke Trail. The Missouri River farm areas are rich and green and were a welcome site after the arid South Dakota Badlands.
We stayed only for an overnight here but had a great steak and a thunderstorm/tornado to rival any we have ever experienced in Florida....WOW
Welcome to the tornado belt.
Tomorrow - 450 more miles to Saint Louis.
