Drove from Sheridan only about 300 miles to Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills of South Dakota.  The drive into the hills was pretty but alot of steep grades for the motorhome.  Stayed at a huge KOA (full of screaming kids) right beside Mount Rushmore.  Wait to go here after school starts back. 
At 9:00 each nite they have a lighting ceremony on the mountain and also show a video about the construction of the monuement on a huge outdoor screen.  It is impressive.
Gilles got these good shots of Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln.
