Gardiner is a really small town on the northwest border of Yellowstone. The entrance gate is 4 blocks from where we are camped. It's a really cute town with friendly people and it is beautiful too with the Yellowstone river running thru the middle. Fortunately there were no fires here (the closest was 30 miles away). We only have 3 nites here so we try to take advantage of the parks most important sites and do a little fly fishing.
Old Faithful was a 55 mile drive thru the park where we encountered alot of wildlife....see the pics. Trudy barked at the big elk in the photos thru the security of the backseat of the jeep. He didn't seem to mind!
