Arrived Thunder Bay with beautiful clear and
warm weather.
Friday we visited a local cheese making farm (a Dutch family operates it) and a replica of an old Canadian pioneer village- the pioneer village was filled with antiques and even had a replica of an old one room schoolhouse, church and town square.
One interesting fact : We learned that the 3 colored stripes (red white and blue) on the barber poles acutally originated in pioneer days when barber shops also served as dentists office and doctors office. The blue for barber white for doctor and red for dental services....
Anyway we sampled alot of cheese this day and bought even more. I think we have every imaginable flavor of gouda between our 2 motorhomes! Lots of good pics of the old stuff at the pioneer village (mostly taken by Gilles).
Enjoy-

I totally love that picture of the old gas pump. That is so ancient!
