We arrived here on Thursday the 28th just before the Canadian Independence Day weekend (July 1st). This is a beautiful and remote park right on the shores of Lake Superior in a cove called Hatties Cove. There are numerous hiking trails (see the pics) and lots of mosquitoes!
The lake is the lowest it has been in something like 50 years so no swimming was allowed in the cove but who would want to in 40 degree water????
We saw alot of chipmunks, squirrels, birds (including loons) beautiful scenery, and Awannisabe and Obijiwa Indians.......
One group invited us to eat moose stew with them on Canada Day- unfortunately we had a previous engagement with a roasted weinie.
We spent 4 nights here and moving on towards Thunder Bay around the northshore of Lake Superior.
See the pics.

Looks like you are having a great time! Stacey's Dad and I go fishing up there where you just were every Spring (except this year). We always stay one night at the Wawa motel then fly up about 90 miles north to Lake Kabinakagammi for about 4 days and nights.
I go to recurrent on the 5th back on the 8th then over to Chicago for a few days (10th to the 14th. If you are coming down thru Mich. let me know when so I can alter my achedule (cough, cough!) Love to have you stay and visit!
