Had breakfast out this morning. It seems there is never a lack of people eating out which make us wonder if anybody cooks at home. Slightly cooler today and overcast. We walked through the west side of Central Park to the Natural History Museum. It is supposed to be the biggest in the world and from our visit we wouldn't disagree. We kept thinking of "night at the museum" recognising places that were in the film. So much to see and read that you would need much more time to take it all in. Leaving the museum we headed back into Central Park. There were not so many people as at the weekend but still a great atmosphere. We sat and watched a group called Afro Black Street Dancers, brilliant acrobats/ dancers and so funny interacting with the crowd. Look on youtube and you should see them in the same place, at the bottom of the main steps in the park.
We walked over to the zoo in the park but by the tome we got there decided not to go in as both of us were feeling a little tired after our busy week.So walked on to the famous Bloomingdales. The store is so big and full of designer clothes so we just had a wander around.
Stopped off for a coffee and shared a piece of New York cheesecake before going back to hotel to freshen up for the evening. So we have eaten two of the things you should eat in New York the cheesecake and a hot dog (earlier in the week).
Cooler tonight, decided to go back to Ellen's Stardust Cafe as we enjoyed the entertainment so much last time. Good again.
Came out to fine rain so walked back to hotel via a couple of the smaller independent shops. Earliest We've been back but need to pack to leave for New Jersey in the morning.
We feel that we have been away for more than a week, done so much here and really got to know our way around the city. Although we are sure there is still a lot more to see. A fantastic week. New Jersey here we come. The blogs will continue but with perhaps slightly less to report each day will have to wait and see as not quite sure what to expect down there.
