An emotional journey back

The next morning we all slept through our alarms though and had a rush to get up and get them to the airport in time, we had a quick hug at the drop off point and waved goodbye. It made us miss home a little bit and so glad we are coming back at the end of the year to see everyone and of course get married!!
It was our last day with M & M and we had decided to head back to the Black Estate winery for some lunch. We had a lazy morning making sure everything was packed up as we had to give the campervan back that afternoon and then headed off back to Waipara. M & M drove again and of course Mark got very stressed so we decided to take over driving for the rest of the day. We got to Waipara a little before lunch time and decided to make the most of our spare time and head to another vineyard which had been recommended to us, once we got there we definitely realised why – the wines were delicious and they gave you about 15 healthy tasting glasses – we were all a little bit wobbly by the time we left to say the least! We headed to the black estate and sat down to a tasty and emotional lunch (I wont go into details) the food was lovely and we left with full bellies and true to form M & M both fell asleep all the way back to Christchurch. We dropped off the van – only an hour late – and headed off to collect the kittens who we were pleased to see had not forgotten about us and then headed home where we realised we had left a lot of stuff in the campervan so me and my dad had to go back over there – the offices were closed but we luckily found a gate that had been left open and found someone to help us – my dad had even left his camera in there! By the time we got back it was time for dinner – we collected a thai takeaway and reminisced over a great holiday before getting to bed ready for a 4.30am start the following morning to take M & M to the airport.
