Never thought I would be back here

I honestly figured when I left Wenzhou after working there a couple years ago that I would never ever go back to see it again. Well, I guess you should never say never. Although I don't care much for the city, I still have some friends there, so I went back with my pal Simon and stayed at Cecilys place. A lot has changed in a year and a half in Wenzhou...the entire slum surrounding my old school has been completely leveled to make way for a new bridge/highway that will go through the area. The school is now standing all on its own among a pile of rubble. We went out to my old favorite arabic restaurant, and went out to the Nanxi river valley, a very famous scenic area in near Wenzhou that I never managed to get out to while I lived there. If there is one saving grace for a city like Wenzhou, it is the beautiful country side that surrounds it. The next entry has some pictures of the Nanxi river area. Here are a few pics of the old school and stomping grounds in Wenzhou City, in the Zhejiang province.
