This New Years Eve, myself and a few friends will go to Macau to take in the fireworks and hang out in one of the most unique places in China. I went to Macau last year for Christmas, so I am hoping to see a few things that I didn't get to see last time. Will write more after I get back.

Ok, so as it turns out, we didn't end up going to Macau. Some of the folks had a last minute change of heart and decided they would rather stay in Shanghai, and I guess I can't blame would have been pretty expensive and I have already been there so not a big deal. Really, it is more of a postponement as we are planning on having a bigger group head down there later in the year. In lieu of Macau, we decided to go for an all you can eat (and drink) Teppanyaki dinner on New Years eve, then headed to a ritzy club called Mr. and Mrs. Bund (on the Bund), and took in the dance party there, and enjoyed the spectacular lights and vistas across the Huang Pu River and the Pudong Skyline. Surprisingly there were no fireworks at midnight, but it was still a great night with some good people. Now that all the holiday fesitvities have ended, we have mid-term exams to deal with, followed by report cards next week. And THEN, FINALLY, SPRING FESTIVAL! 3 weeks in the Philippines sounds pretty good right about now. Only 8 days away now, looking forward to it immensely.  Here are some pictures from Christmas day and New Year's Eve. Hope you all had a great holiday season!
