Doing a tour to Gozo today, wanted only a small group but by the time we had all been bussed up to the departure point for the ferry there was 38, nice and cosy, not! Anyway met a nice man that is staying at our hotel, he is from Wakefield and just over for 4 days. The ferry trip across is only 1/2 hour then we get on our bus on the other side. First stop is the Ggangita temple site, built by the same people as the Hypogeum but this is above ground. Got a nice hand made scarf here. Then back on the bus and off to Dwear cliffs and the Azure window. When we got there they have the option to do a boat trip, you go from the inland sea through a gap in the cliffs to the sea on the other side, then you visit the blue grotto and the azure window then they take you back. Of course we did that, would have gone and checked it from ashore as well but no time, all aboard. Then it was lunch, which was in apretty village called xliema. It was actually a very good meal complete with wine, all enjoyed it. From there stopped off at a craft market in Fontanella and finally to the capital Rabat. We visited the St George parish church, which was pretty huge then headed up to the Citadel, again not enough time before we had to head back to the ferry. Grabbed dinner in the supermarkety and packed for tomorrow, Rome tomorrow.
