Get to the ferry terminal at midday. Ferry has just left so need to wait for the next one at 6pm. No problem.

2 dock worked have sadly died in a benzene accident so the next two ferries are being exclusively used to transport the bodies and mourning families.

Nip into town to stock up on vodka and crisps in the bazaar. Should have bought more fruit. Everyone seems to be speaking German except an old lady who decides I'm a shopkeeper and repeatedly harrangues me for the price of 3 bananas.

At 5.20 they start loading oil tankers onto the ferry. This means our diesel truck can't go on as well. No explanation, but it probably makes the oil slicks easier to clean up when the ferries crash.

Can't put it off any longer - have to use the disgusting toilet in the car-park. Buy an ice-cream as compensation.

No real food for sale within a couple of miles of the ferry terminal, so cold leftovers for dinner

9pm. Ferry still here and not going anywhere. Decide to annoy the locals by sleeping in the ferry terminal. Annoy them further by pushing together 3 benches to make a double bed.

10pm. Woken up by annoyed locals who keep slamming the door. Have to trek outside to use the horrible toilets. 11pm. Woken up by annoyed locals who keep slamming the door. 12am. Woken up by annoyed locals who keep slamming the door. 1am. Woken up by annoyed locals who keep slamming the door. 2am. Woken up by annoyed locals who keep slamming the door. Discover it's an unmarked much nicer toilet than the one in the car park. The sprung loaded door slams on my way in, annoying the locals.

9am. Boredom finally hits. Decide to clean the truck inside and out.

12pm. Played a 6 player game of Risk for 3 hours. Watched by lots of police checking if we were spies planning our next attack. On a map in the middle of a car park.

6pm. Offer a bribe. 6.01pm. Get tickets for the next boat. Faff around for ages at customs while they try to delete all the photos from our cameras and get on the boat at 11.57 with 3 minutes to spare on our visas.
