Where I stayed
Surprisingly I got up early and went for breakfast. It was a really good breakfast and got for a change my first scramble eggs and crispy bacon here in America. ,) Did my laundry and enjoyed sunbathing by the hotel pool. Just felt a bit like, that im out of my body. A different kind of hangover. Lol. But by the evening I felt much better.
On the way to get some lunch, we saw already a lot of people with a hand granade. Crazy!! Well they will regret it later! ,) For lunch i had a local dish called Gumbo. Basically its a spicy rice soup with chicken or seafood. But very tasty.
Then we discovert New Orleans by daylight. Walked to the sea side and wanted to catch a ferry, but we just missed so we carried on walking. Instead we saw the end of a parade and saw Santa!
We got lost!!
Sarah and I went into a shop and we told Martin about. When we came out everybody was gone!! We walked about 3 times the street up and down, just in case they were somewhere. You never know!! Until we decided to do our own thing. So we walked slowly back to the seaside. Watched some guys doing some breakdance. They were really good and entertaining. They made nearly of everyone who passed them a joke. ,) Good that Sarah and I didnt passed them. Then we walked back to the hotel and as a surprise everybody was already back!!! And they asked us were we been!? Lol. They thought we went for wee in McDonalds and couldnt find us. And were trying to find us, until they decided to do there own thing! Lol.
Funny aswell was that evening, when Steve came into Sarahs room, to tell her something. He just needed someone to tell this! ,) He got a coin to open the bathroom door from Trevor, because he had done it before with him
In the evening we went out to listen some music. And this time without and Hurricane or hand granade. ,) So we went to the Frenchmen street. They had there really good music. One of the band were just amazing. The band was just with one drummer and the rest were Trumpets,.. Just wow!! About 2 oclock we got out and it didnt felt like it, because we were just enjoying the music that much! Great way to finish the night! ,)
Looking forward to go tomorrow in the "church". Thats will be fun with ghosple singers,.. ,) And we will see the are where the Hurricane Katrina was.
