"This is Burma; it is quite unlike any place you know about" -Rudyard Kipling

I am about to embark on a journey to one of the most mystical and untouched places on Earth- Burma (Myanmar). Home to some of the most devout Buddhists in the world, a military regime and the world famous, Nobel Peace Price winner- Aung San Suu Kyi.

Supposedly completely untouched by the Western consumerism and corporations, Burma has changed little since British colonial times. Here one will step back in time and enjoy life without ATM's, fastfood or 7-Eleven's. In Burma Holy men are more admired than rockstars and only 0.1% of the population uses the internet.

Follow me on a journey to explore this remote corner in Asia that will include trekking trough the Shan state, floating on the Ayerwaddy river and a balloon ride over the 4000 temples in Bagan.

So put on your longyi and smear your face with thanakha and off we go!
 Peace, Love & Adventure
 Yours Truly ~TheSwedishVagabond~
