After a 3 day long passing with some headaches weīve arrived to Palma. The departure from Ceuta was great and just as the sun was going down I caught a tuna. 2 minutes later we had sashimi and Carlsbergs. Canīt go wrong there.
When we got a little bit further north we spotted a small boat in the middle of the shipping lane and went over to see if someone was in trouble. Unfortunately we were too late. It was an empty small fishing boat and after some search we could conclude that this poor man was not alive anymore. We looked through the boat and found his hat and jacket. Everything was in order on the boat regarding the engine and all else, but no fisher man to be seen. We called it in and took the boat to tow up to Cartagena.
I guess that these old guys who canīt even swim are just too macho to be wearing a life jacket. We went zigzag all the way to the harbor without seeing him and left the boat to the patrol boats which continued the search after we carried on.
We got in at 12 oīclock and of course we had to have a couple of anchor drums before bed. Itīs amazing how well these shots work for your sleep. Or at least thatīs the way I want to think they do.
Thatīs all for now but I guess Iīll have to tell some stories from this crazy place as well right? More to come!
Cheers
