Whatīs up guys!
After a stormy week in La Coruna we finally decided to leave in a little window between the low pressures. We only got 120 miles on the trip before we had to go in for shelter again. Now itīs supposed to calm down tonight again before we head down to Lisboa, Portugal. Itīs only a 35 hour trip so we should be fine even if ending up in foul weather.
Vigo is a nice town close to the Portugese border with great seafood restaurants. Their Spanish is impossible to understand since itīs very mixed with Portuguese, but as you all know after a few beers you can manage any language.
Last night it actually felt like new years eve around here. We went to a bar to watch the final race of the Formula 1 season and Fernando Alosno won the overall championship. All hell broke lose when the race was over and people were partying like crazy in the streets all over town. No wonder I have a cottonmouth today.
Like I said, next stop will be Portugal. There is a place called Cascais outside of Lisboa and thatīs where we have booked a berth. Itīs supposed to be the riviera of Portugal.
Until next entry, take care everyone and talk to you soon again.
Cheers,
Tim
