I'm home.

Helen, the Project Director from Perkins upgraded my seat to Economy Plus, which is a section of the aircraft with more leg room than the regular "coach"  section. It turned out to be a huge advantage for me, as I had three seats to my self, and was able to stretch out flat across all 3 seats and sleep almost the entire 13 hours to Newark. After a short t3 hour  layover in Newark, complete with baggage claim, customs and immigration, re-check, security and a short train ride to my terminal, I slept again for the 1.5 hour ride home.

Jim picked me up at the Indy airport, waiting just outside security, and it was not only great to see him, but also to be greeted, rather than the typical curbside pick-up, or shuttle to my car. It was a delightful homecoming.

Even though I wasn't able to see much of the backyard, all looks good, thanks to my new neighbor Dash, who watered and moved while I was gone.

I forgot to mention that while in Beijing, I had several scoops of ice cream, my first since leaving almost three weeks ago. I also came home to ice cream, thanks to my darling Jim. Now, as I write this final blog, I am also enjoying a Vernors on ice--something that I missed very much.

The entire trip as fascinating and challenging, full of learning and experiencing new things. Not sure if I will go back, There is an opportunity, and for many reasons, I would like to, but I think it is important to see what re-entry is like--how long it takes me to feel like I'm sort of caught up with work, how the jet-lag works, and so on.  Right now it is 3:30 am, but to me, it is 3:30 pm Monday. So, I'll see.

Thanks to all who followed my blog. I will post pictures once I get them transferred and organized and provide some descriptions.
