With a few days left before I start my travels, I've been busy packing and making sure that I have everything I need.

Backpack- Deuter (40 Liters)

Daypack- Junior Camel Pack (without the bladder)

Clothes

-1 Pant (lightweight-made by Columbia)

-2 Capri pants (lightweight- made by REI and Sierra Nevada)

-2 Shorts (lightweight)

-4 tank tops (3 cotton cheapy, 1 quick dry by Nike)

-1 T-Shirt

-1 Long-sleeve shirt (white, cotton)

-1 Long-sleeve shirt (athletic breathable and warming material- made by Eastern Mountain Sport)

-4 Socks (2 lightweight Coolmax, 1 lightweight smart wool, 1 cotton)

-10 Pairs of underwear

-2 Sport Bras (1 Nike, 1 Danskin)

-2 bandanas

-1 Keen HybridLife walking/sandel shoes

-1 Flip-flops (Reef)

-1 Hiking boot

-1 swimsuit

-1 Rainjacket and poncho (lightweight)

Gear

-1 Backpack cover (made by REI)

-1 Katadyn Water Bottle Microfilter-for protection against pathogenic bacteria and cysts

-1 Moleskin journal

-Camera and battery charger

-Guatemala and Honduras Books (Roughguide and Lonely Planet)

-1 Sleep sack (cotton)

-2 Flashlights (1 Small mini-led pen flashlight (clips on day-pack), Mini Maglite)

-Secret money belt

-Combination lock and chain for pack

-Large travel towel (Microfiber and lightweight- made by REI)

-Body towel (cheap, thin cotton)

-1 mesh sack, 20 liters (made by Sea to Summit)

-Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap-Castile soap (used as shampoo, conditioner and anything else that needs to be cleaned)

-Deodorant

-Toothbrush, toothpaste, toothfloss, holder

-Tweezers, nail file, nail clippers, disposable razors

-Cipro, Augmentin, Malarone, Tylenol, Advil, Bandais, Neosporin, Immodium A-D, Tums, Bite MD (bite antiseptic and analgesic)

-Small container of instant hand sanitizer

-Sleeping eye mask and ear plugs

-Eagle Creek Pack-It Cubes (keeps your clothes separate from everything else)

-Lots of pony-tail holders

-1 Hair brush

-Sunscreen (SPF 50)

-Insect repellent

-1 Swiss army knife

-1 knife (stored in a toothbrush holder), 1 vegetable peeler (fruits and veggies need a quick peel for safety in central America)

-Prescription glasses and sunglasses

-1 Rimmed hat and mosquito hat net

-Watch

-3 magazines (back issues of NewYorker and Science that I haven't read)

-Travel guard insurance card
