Nelson

Stayed in Bumbles backpackers on the main street in town. Got in touch with Alex and Tom and spent most of time in Nelson with them. Had such a laugh and they took us to some great spots, just wished we could've stayed longer. We went for a walk on Tahona beach and went up to a lookout point from which you could lookout over most of Nelson and also saw a beautiful sunset. Alex got us up early to go to the local Market and both Suzy and I were glad she did when we brought the most Beautiful warm and cool jumpers we've ever owned (the sort of Jumpers that will last us a lifetime) and so needed in the middle of the New Zealand winter. We also got really mashed and ate the biggest cake and custard desert in the world ever! Had such a fantastic time it was hard to leave them but Ted had got back from Abel Tasman and we had to keep to schedule or we would miss our flights from Christchurch. So after a great weekend in Nelson monday morning we got the bus down to Kaikora to go whale spotting.
