Wellington

Stayed at Apollo Lodge motel in Wellington Spent a couple of days taking in the city. Loved Cuba street with it's trendy cafe's and the bucket fountain, though someone had put washing up liquid in it and turned one of the buckets upside down when we first saw it. Met up with one of suzy's old mates from the U.K Brucey Bonus, it was the first time Dave had met him but we all got on great and he showed us around town abit. Went to Wetta Workshop Dave didn't think he'd be able to get in but as we were so close we couldn't leave without at least seeing the place. We went up into the offices which were full of models of Lord of the rings charactors, king kong and lots more, including a full size body sculpt of one of their Orks, it was amazing. Went up on the elevator tram to the top of the hills to the north of the city and through the Botanical gardens which were beautiful with some fantastic plants. Ted headed off after a couple of days to travel to the south island as he wanted to see Able Tasman national park and we arranged to meet up with him in Nelson. Stayed our last couple of nights in a great high rise apartment in the heart of the city which was Luxury then got the ferry over to picton where we stayed one night just near the ferry port before catching the bus down to Nelson.
