We left zion National park Heading for yosemite National park. America is so vast, we had already put quite a distance between us and zion when we drove past a road sign that said next gas station 150 miles. Luckily this time we had filled up, but even so with such a massive distance and a bit of a guzzler of a mustang, we were stil worried about the fuel situation.
We were going to stop at a place called Warm springs because we liked the sound of it but when we got there it turned out to be a couple of roofless broken down shells of former buildings, we decided to push on and about another 80 miles on we found the township of Tonopah. We stopped over night in Tonopah at a lovely motel called the Number 9 and ate at a resturant up the road, a great Mexican meal, real spicy.
We went through Yosemite the following day seeing ice capped mountains, frozen lakes huge trees and also saw a wild bear in the forest. Stayed just on the west side of Yosemite in a town called Groveland. Set out the following day for San Fransico.
