We arrived in Los Angeles at about 3:00pm which is weird having only left at about 12:00am But that's time differences for you. It's the closest thing to time travelling that you can do, so I find it really cool. Went to the car rental place and picked up our car, we were made up by the fact it was the convertable Mustang that Dave had wanted. Dave thinks it's such a cool car, had set his heart on it and was so made up when we walked out to the bay it was parked in. Drove up to our hostel at Venice beach, we took the top down for the journey but got halfway there and we all started to get chilly. Waiting at some traffic lights we decided to put the top up. As we got the hood half way up the lights changed and Ted had to pull away, leaving Dave half standing trying to keep hold of the hood to stop it being ripped off by the wind, we were all in Hysterics.
Arrived at the Venice beach hostel and settled in to our room's. Abit rough and ready but not a bad atmosphere to the place
Had Pancakes curtesy of Mr D in the hostel, can't beat a free breakfast. Had a room change due to staff cock-up and ended up with bunk beds. Ted was happy though as he was moved further away from the fire escape where smokers had keeping him up awake. Strolled down Venice beach boulevard and saw loads of crazy people like a man on acid waving a flag about shouting freedom and a Turbaned roller blading raster with an amp on his back playing electric guitar, Mental. Saw all sorts of Bums and Buskers, had gorgous lunch in a cafe and looked around the stalls and shops.
Left Venice beach hostel the following day, Suzy had neck ache from the two of us sharing a single bunk bed, so was thankful to be moving on. Travelled for 5 hours from Los Angeles to Las Vegas with the hood down.
