We Arrived alot later than anticipated due to our late departure from Heathrow, into a very cold New York. We were Thankful of our Hefty Northface coats and we rapped ourselves up and headed to the taxi rank to get our first Yellow Taxi into the Heart of the city to our hotel;ThePortland Square! Spent four days in New york Seeing the sights and acclimatising to the COLD weather! We went on a cruise round the Harbour, up the Empire state building, took a stroll through Central park and ATE loads!! We also tried to take a rickshaw ride to Times square but were shocked when the driver exclaimed "you're in it man!!" Funny but we did feel a bit stupid!!
On the Fourth day we headed down to Penn Station to catch a train to take us down to Washington DC a couple of hours journey away.
