Where I stayed
Perpectual Tourist Lodge
I was feeling hangovery and thinking this may be due to the tea and coffee I had started drinking I now decided to stop having such drinks.
Again there were lots of mosquito's in the night.
Amazingly, I found reflexology flip flops, and then a large brill supermarket, near the train station, where there even rice cakes for sale. These and other quality food products had been imported from Australia. After the barrenness of choices in India this place was wonderful for me. We bought lots, big pots of buffalo curd, brown rice bran, soya flakes, baked beans and cream cheese. Though Sri Lankans, unlike the Indians, didn't seem to eat crisps, and I could only find a small pricey bag of garlic favour crisps that tasted disgusting.
