Where I stayed
I then had another luxurious bath, making sure to enjoy the last moments of our classy mirage. Andy phoned his parents despite English time being only 4 or 5 in the morning there. They were so excited to be called anyway. A call to my own family home got no response though.
Andy went off by taxi to the nearest post office to send his latest parcel.
Even though check out time came along we were able to deposit all our bags with the bell boy and were welcome to continue enjoying the hotel facilities.
We ate a buffet meal in the Indian restaurant which was amazingly delicious, with so much choice of salads, main dishes and desserts. Andy temporarily gave up his veganism to indulge in the tempting milk sweets and chocolate ice-cream. We were so stuffed full.
Andy went off shopping while I collapsed on a lounger by the pool.
Jai paddled in the child pool until the sight of a lizard by the waters edge freaked him out.
He made friends with the poolside manager who kept lifting him up to get flowers down from the trees.
Mostly airflight crew seemed to be staying at the hotel, and two men from their lot even rushed over and jumped into the pool with all their clothes on.
When the mossies came out we retired into the hotel lounge.
Andy didn't return till after dark.
On spying a large crowd of English yobbo's with yellow t-shirts on I went to say Hello and discovered they had been invited to India for a motor racing show.
Rather late we got the minibus to the airport with all the general Indian hassles to contend with.
