Kruger Park has been the best part by far for me and Andrew. Trying not to get our hopes up we set off to Kruger Park in search of Lions and other great animals. Before we arrived in Kruger Park we stopped off at a lodge in a private game reserve. The pictures show how lovely the lodges were. We went on a evening drive, just 4 of us with a ranger who seemed to know so much. We saw giraffes, various antelope, warthogs, birds, kudu and wilderbeast. Half way through the drive we started to follow the tracks of a set of lions and managed to get a flat tyre! We were very close to the lions as we could hear them roaring, so the ranger asked us to look out for them! Back on the road again we were told that they were near the outer perimiter of the park so we drove outside the park. By now it was dark and we used flash lights. Just as we were about to set off back to the lodge we came across the pack of lions and it was amazing! We had the flash lights on them (8 of them) and we could see them quite clearly - even though our photo's dont show it An odd pair!

We went to a rehabilitation centre where we learnt a lot of information about injured animals and birds. I even got to have a vulture land on my arm to eat off it!

The following day we entered Kruger Park and set up camp. In the morning (5am) we went for a drive with our tour operator as its the best time to see animals. We saw 2 rhino's together (rare), elephants, baboons, hippos, zebras and lots of other interesting animals. That night we went on another night drive with a park ranger and again we saw animals which by now were common place for us! We really wanted to see another lion! At the end of the drive a lion walked right in front of us, but yet again it was dark so the pictures came out a little fuzzy! All in all a great experience and one we will never forget!
