Bankok is such a different place to Hong Kong! It is however just as fast paced and busy with people. We thought Hong Kong was cheap - here you can get a t-shirt (Diesel, Armani etc) for 2.50 and they are good imitations I'll tell you! Everything you buy you need to barter for, even transport! In fact we got charged nearly double some of the people who were on one of our buses and we went through an official travel agent!

As far as the sights the main attractions were the palaces which were amazing. They all were made of gold, often with a glass like material seemingly stuck on to give it a shiney effect. They places are VERY sacred so I had to wear these stupid looking trousers to cover up my knees.

At night we pretty much went to the same restaurant every night, as it had a good atmosphere and was filled with fountains, and other water features. Susie had chicken green curry every night! (Although on the first night we forgot to ask for it without spice! ...Ouch!)

The hotel we stayed in was really nice - excellent air con which is a must out here. It also had a lovely pool. If we hadn't have booked it we could have found something a lot cheaper though.
