Alright so, I got here around 9 this morning, and apparently Im 2 hours ahead of Texas time, which for some reason seems like a lot today. I got through the airport uneventfully paid my 22 dollars for a "safe" taxi into the city, and arrived at my hostel atound 10. Im staying at this place called Sandanzas, and its really a lot of fun, mostly because the people are just awesome. About an hour after I got here Mike and I left to see some of the city. We started off by heading towars the cemetario de recaletta, where Eva Peron is buried( we also ran into a couple from San Antonio here. Small world eh!!), and then we headed over to the Japanese gardens to relax a little bit. The gardens were really small though and they were right by a huge street, so it wasnt very relaxing. After that we walked about 20 blocks to what we call the Torre, a large building given to the Argentinians by the British, but it was closed so we couldnt go to the top of it to see the city, so instead we took the subway to the obelisk. We then proceeded to the Theater Colon which was also closed for renovation, and then we headewd back to the Hostel, because by then I was pretty beat. On the way back we saw the big pink house where Evita spoke. I definately had a great dinner tonight though. I got a peppered tenderloin with cream potatos and a bottle of wine for abot 10 bucks. Mike, Ammon, and I had a great time just talking and enjoying the food that this place has to offer. A big group of us mostly composed of Americans and Brazilians are going out tonight somewhere, but Im not really sure where. Ill let them decide, because it tends to be more fun that way. I think that Im going to eat as much as possible here, 1 because its great, and 2 because its cheap. This definately beats the heck out of med school, well, first year at least! Anyways, I miss you Tina. Just so you know. Kisses. Good night and good luck mis amigos!!!
