Well Coban was a nice enough place, but we were lucky to be able to take the trip out to semuch champey. Most places that organize the tours require that at least three people be signed up to go on the trip, and luckily for us we were able to find a third person. The drive from Coban to Semuc Champey was not the most comfortable, but it was extremely beautiful, and it it just kept getting better. Semuc Champey was beautiful, and I would venture to say it was just as beautiful if not more so than Lake Atitlan, but it's not as easy to get to unfortunately. Or maybe that's a good thing. After spending half the day wading around in the beautiful clear pool's of SC we headed over to the gratas de Lanquin (caves of Lanquin)where our guide took us off the beaten path and down to see the river running through the caves. I was a little bit scared squeezing through a couple of the cracks he made us go through first of all because I hate spiders, and second of all because I was afraid I wasnt gonna get out. But all in all this has to be one of my most fond memories in Guatemala. I would go back here in a heartbeat.
