Met up with mum & dad the 1st day I arrived which was lovely (they'd just had a holiday in Thailand & Cambodia & were heading back to the UK the next day). They very kindly put me up in the Holiday Inn with them for a day & night............such luxury!!!!
I also forgot how much I love thai food....................so yummy!!!! I've been eating pad thai off the street vendors every day!

Then on 30th Nov said bye to them & made my way to the Kho San Rd & met up with my mates from Goa - Anna, BJ & Ross. Really lovely to see them all again & hear about their travels in Vietnam & Laos (making me really looking forward to going there too).
Stayed in a really nice guesthouse just off the Kho San Rd & for the last few nights we've been enjoying a fair few number of Samsung buckets in various bars nearby!!!! Lethal stuff!!
Did a bit of sight-seeing..........went to the Golden Palace, a couple of other temples, Wat Pho (the huge reclinging golden Buddha) & found this really bizarre museum of anatomy & forensics. Loads of jars, etc of pickled babies & siamese twins............not for the squeamish!! Took a couple of river ferries. Didn't make it to the floating market though.
Met some nice people here too............Miso & her thai boyfriend Keith who own a tattoo & piercing shop here. Got a new piercing & tattoo!! Last night we ventured down to Patpong & see all the different varieties of sex stuff that it had to offer................again...........not for the squeamish!!! Went to a gay boys caberet/sex show & then found where all the lady boys were & went to a few lady boys bars. Certainly interesting!!!
It's been fun here but I'm definitely looking forward to going back to a beach & lying in the sun!
