Left the chilly beach of Lake Albert and decided to take the scenic route to the Great Ocean Road.  Since the radio didn't work we tried to remember all the words to songs and sing our won songs but that didn't last long.  But it was a valiant attempt.

After about an hour of driving entered Kingston and happened upon Larry the Lobster- a giant lobster.  He was a nice big lobster, apparently old, (he was created in 1979 and was falling apart) but allowed for some nice photo opportunities.    The next stop was Beachport, a quite little town that has the second longest jetty in South Australia.  The has a wonderful scenic drive with gorgeous blue turquoise beaches.    Next up was MT. Gambier which is the second largest town in South Australia and is on the slope of an extinct volcano.  In the crater of this extinct volcano is a late which turns a stunning shade of sapphire blue every summer (then becomes grey in the winter- a mystery of science).  It was definitely a sight to see.

The last stop for the night was in Portland, yet another quaint Aussie town.  This one had a giant port (obviously) and although everything was pretty much shut down by the time we got there at 7pm it was still nice to wander down the empty street and out to the port.  There were a fair number of people out but I'm not sure where they were going since everything appeared to be closed.
