My week (month?) of goodbyes started with a weekend trip Sept 15th to LA to visit Nyla  and April with dinner at the Elephant Bar and a tour of Nyla's new home.  The goodbyes continued Monday with happy hour at Ugly's for $1 PBRs, and where I had to day goodbye to Josh and Christa D. Tuesday night it was dinner with Anita at Shaboo- Shaboo and Wednesday night was dinner with the siblings.  Thursday (my last day at Lockheed) Wendy took Jeff, Jen and myself out for some tasty food (and snakebites) at Scruffy Murphy's.  Later some of the gang (Andy, Adi, Emily, Kerry, Ninja, Lee) met up with Wendy and myself and we headed over to Blue Bonnet to crash Dave G's happy hour and sing some karaoke .  Frabs met up after class and DC finally arrived after several calls and a encouraging message from Laura. After a late night singing headed back to Frabs house some some rest.  Friday morning, Andy, Ninja, Emily, DC and Frabs took me out to Hobees for some breakfast and our last goodbyes.
Then it was back to Davis I went.  Packing and repacking trying to make everything fit... I think i finally got it!  To relax I went to Tahoe with my mom and Cokie (the dog)- got to see the first snow of the season on Saturday morning (although it was pretty much all melted by Friday afternoon).  Saturday night had dinner with Sam and Laura (finally got to see Laura's
wedding pictures) and learned all about the hardware store... Sunday went to Grandmas house and worked on the wine cabinet (yes, it's almost done- don't even ask me about the negative schedule margin on that project)!

That brings me to today Monday, October 1, 2007.  I'm off to SMF for a 7:40pm flight to LAX, from LAX I go to Hong Kong, Hong Kong to Bangkok, Bangkok to Kathmandu. and arrive (if everything is on time) in Kathmandu October 3 at 8:30pm.  I just love airplanes. :-)    I look forward to hearing from you all.  I'll miss you!
