Yay!! Crossed the boarder into Malawi today. Slow process, but as they say T.I.A ("This is Africa" for those of you who haven't seen Blood Diamond movie).
Stopped off in the capital of Lilongwe, described by the Lonely Planet as "hardly awash with excitement". However, the local boys tried to make up for this when they showed us girls around the town centre.... our "local guides" were Mr T, Easy Tiger, Coconut, and Fun George.... Malawians have a superb sense of humour.
After a couple of hours we travelled onto Lake Malawi, which covers 20% of the country. Had a lazy afternoon on the waterfront, then slept under the stars on the beach... highly recommend it!!
