The day started early, with us entering the national park gates at 5.45am.  We headed to Dune 45 and had a hard climb to the top in order to watch the sunrise - it was well worth the effort.

Afterwards we headed along to where we were to start our desert walk.  We were greeted by Bushman, our local guide.  He piled all 24 of us on the tour into the back of his ute, and drove along a 4WD road (clearly no health & safety around here).  We then started our walking tour, which was facinating, on how humans and animals can survive in the desert.

In the afternoon we drove north for three hours, and camped on the side of the road in the middle of no where.
