On Thursday I said my good byes to Jill, Steven, and Alistair and started my journey to Agropoli, where I spent the next three nights, and enjoyed the beach and exploring the medieval town.
Saturday I visited Paestum (among the best-preserved monuments of the Greek colony Magna Graecia). The fun in this adventure was the local bus company.... just because the bus is due at 10.45am, this could mean anytime between 10.35 - 11.15. There are no bus stops in Agropoli, so order to "flag" the bus down, this requires you to practically do star-jumps in the middle of the road to get noticed. Once on the bus, the driver half hangs out the window waving to his pals as you drive along, while chatting to the person in the seat behind.
Next stop - Sicily!!
