Even though I have been to Italy before, this is my first trip to Rome and absolutely loving it!! In summary, over the past four days days I have visited Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, St Peter's Square, Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, St Peter's Basilica, Basicila di Santa Maria Maggiore, Basilica di San Pietro in Vinoli, Colesseum, Palatine, Roman Forum, and Chiesa di Santa Maria della Concezione, and.... i.e. a lot of walking!!
It just so happens that the one and only George Bush has been in town too. Not only are there helicopters hovering above, but there are a number of men in uniform every corner you turn (Wilma, you should be over here!!)
Tomorrow I head to Naples, then on Saturday onto Sorrento.
