Well- Filippo and I decided to take a 2 day trip/tour to the infamous Kangaroo Island south of Adelaide!  Most tours were heaps expensive, but we found one that decent enough and turned out to be well worth the cost!
So the trip in short- took a 3 hour bus to the port, a 1hour ferry across to the Island, stayed at a YHA hostel close to the ferry port.  The first night we cooked ourselves some Italian pasta (what we always cook) and wine.  I've found that Italians are much pickier about what they eat/drink than americans.. but that the food is amazing!!  Some of the penguins come onto land from the southern ocean everynight, so seeing 'penguin crossing' signs and little penguins walking in the street what quite interesting :)  That night I slept well except for some crazy german lady who got up and opened the door at 2:30 in the morning.. Apparently she wanted some fresh air because when I closed the door, she yelled something at me in German!! Haha :)
Next day, we had a tour bus that picked us up, saw TONS of dead kangaroos, a few dead possums, and one very cute koala waiting patiently by the road to cross.  Had an outback bbq dinner, took a walk to see some koalas (doing nothing but sleeping!), saw some amazing beaches, a very cool lighthouse, and got to walk on the beach with sea lions!!  Got home that night, ate some pizza and chips (french fries) , and then went and searched for penguins! Next morning it was back to Adelaide to pick up our relocation caravan!
