Well, sadly- I discovered today that one of my favorite things to do in Sydney (besides find a way to keep cool) is to ride the ferries across the bay! Like everything, it can be quite costly, but last night I took a ferry over to the infamous Darling Harbour, and then today I took a different ferry to Manly beach. I've also decided, that I like the beach cities much better than the center city (its just much cooler here!!)
Interestingly, last night after heading out to catch a train from Circular Quay, I found myself unsure of the train schedule (again!!) So, I just happened to ask the (rather handsome) fellow next to me at central station which train to hop on, and it turned out he was an american living in Melbourne (about 9 hours away). He was a tad lost as well, but somehow we managed to hop on a train (not sure where we were going) and chatted a bit and agreed to meet up again in Melbourne. Well oncel he happened across his stop, I found then found myself stuck ona train at midnight not knowing where it was going!! lol.. No worries though, luck as been on my side.. and at that moment of potential panic, I looked up to the upper car on my part of the train, and there, once again... was my housemate!! It was quite ironic. Anyways, I'm glad to say I made it home safely!!
