Ok so the title doesn't lie. Romania is the sketchiest place I've seen. Constanta has a population of about 1 million and it is very poor, and run down. I shouldn't complain because it's always nice to get off the ship.

I went with Viktor (thank goodness, I didn't go alone) and we took a cab into the city centre which was about 5 euros. I think they still ripped us off but it still wasn't that much.

There wasn't really anything to do or see in the "downtown" area. The main street was a pedestrian only walking area with some stores. Oh my goodness...the driving is crazier then anything i've ever seen!! They have no lines, no traffic signals, no seatbelts in the cars...it's pretty much a free-for-all where they just drive whereever they can in any direction they want. So instead of taking a cab back we just walked (it was a few kms so it was good exercise).

Usually we leave the ports at about 6pm but we're here till 9 tonight because we don't have far to go to the next port which is Nessebur, Bulgaria. Good news is they are letting me off there too! And everywhere after that should be fine for the rest of the summer, which is good news.
