So remember how I was told I wasn't going to be able to go into Ukraine? Well today the immigration officials who come onto the ship decided that it would be ok. So I got to go into Yalta!! I was so excited. I walked down the pier and met up with some people from the ship. The pier is very touristy. There was a beach, and amusement rides, and games, and restaurants. I was walking down the pier and these three guys came up holding two monkeys and a bird and they put the animals on me. (you know how much of a fan I am of animals). Well I screamed and then they took my camera which was in my hand and started taking pictures of me. Well they don't give your camera back until you pay them for it. Not like I had a choice in the matter. The pictures turned out ok, but having two monkeys climbing over your face is not pleasant!

The women in Ukraine are quite interesting. They are all tall, blonde, skinny and no matter what time of the day it is, they look like they are dressed to go to a nightclub. It's very strange.

Tomorrow we are going to be in Sochi, Russia but I don't have the Visa for that. Apparently it's not that nice of a town. It would be different if we were going to St. Petersburg!

Hope everyone is well. I'm going to try and get pictures up tonight or tomorrow, but no promises!

Ukrainians...
Are peculiar. The men and women both. ha ha.

I have a Ukrainian friend - tall, blonde, skinny - she said one day she wants to go to Ukraine, just so that she can fit in... She lacks the outfit though - thank goodness...

Oh Shan that is tooo much about the monkeys :s
Definetly wanted a shower on the ship after that I bet :( LOL but it is a funny story.. wait till you tell the grand kids.. can't wait to see your face in the pic.s too :o
But defintly get a camera strap soon.. there is no need to be paying others to snap your pic!!! Other tourists will do it willingly for free
Well I am glad you escaped the ship, but sorry to hear you may not have that much luck next time.
Hope your having a blast, everything is going alright here in Ajax.. nothing exciting to report
