Most of the shopping has actually been browsing, and nothing much has really captured my attention. I did find the Apple store though. There were hundreds of people in there! I have now touched and played with the new i-phone...it's very nice. The touch screen is very sensitive, so I think it would take some practice to get used to that. Still on my list!
The street theatre has been really good, and I ate dinner tonight listening to a rather talented guitar player. And guess what? Two people stopped me in the course of the day and asked for directions to certain places. And I knew the answer! Quite funny to be asked by Americans, and actually be able to help them.
I did find a rather nice skin care shop called "Fresh". I made the fatal mistake of going in and have a rather lovely assistant smear all sorts of wonderful "age defying" things on my face. So, yes...a few purchases were made there. I expect you to notice the miraculous new youthful look on my return. The assistant was also able to recommend a place for a massage. That's how I found myself in something out of a dream, at a spa called "Burke Williams." I have never seen anything like it. At least two floors of space. Along with the massage comes use of the spa facilities...spa pools, cool mist rooms, sauna, lounge, quiet room etc.. There are 100 odd treatment rooms and 135 massage therapists alone! All beautifully furnished, endless soft fluffy towels, and every accessory you can imagine. Donna, you remember how all those years ago we talked about the Goddess Sanctuary?...well this was it. Without the heli-pad and the corrugated shed out the back for the blokes. No, there was a special men's section in the spa for them. I had a very good massage and stayed there for a couple of hours relaxing. Lovely! Let's see what tomorrow brings...Right now I'm off to try out the new skin stuff...
