Took the overnight train to Sapa and was met by my guide Dong. We then went straight into a trek to a TA Vin a n 8km walk with a lunch break. Beautiful countryside and facinating ethnic minority groups meeting us on the way. Stayed in the home of the Black hmong- actually like sleeping in a large loft. But had fantasic food. The next day we walked to another village with lunch cooked by my guide and then finally arrived at BAt Po for another homestay. Luckily at this village there were hot springs to relax in. Following day was spent trekking back to a road where we picked up and taken back to Sapa and then on to another overnight train. A tiring but wonderful trip.

Hi Sue,
Been keeping up with your travels, sounds outrageously boring and un life fulfilling so we are extremely glad to be back here slogging our guts out at SJHCSC!!!!!!!! New OFSTED watch word 'safeguarding'; so we are really into it right now. I'd sooner tackle the long slippery things, oh they are ofsted!!! Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your trip.
