The southernmost city in the world (apparently)

This was a long journey (10 hours on a bus), we travelled north and then took a ferry over the Magellan Straits at the shortest crossing point and through Tierra del Fuego (very flat and wind swept until you hit the Southern Andes as they in turn hit the sea). The first thing we noticed was the temperature really dropped!! The good news is that the hostel is new and has under floor heating - still in quad share though even though we were promised double/twin share rooms on booking, Exodus really sold us down the river on that one, I feel a strongly worded letter comming on!
The 1st morning it snowed over night. We did a walk in the Park National along the coast next to white mountains and through forests. It is like something out of Narnia - very beautiful.
In the afternoon we were supposed to kayak along the waterways but in reality it ended up with 9 of us in an oversized dingy getting stuck every 100 yards - another Exodus classic cock-up! The next day we did a half day trip on beagle sound which was cold but interesting, we saw cormorants (mistaken by some as flying penguines!), seals and lots of other bird life. Our guide tells us that the flight tomorrow to the Valdes Peninsula is now an evening flight rather than a morning one (as promised) so we will be arriving at 1am at the hostel (rather than midday) - well done again Exodus! The one redeeming feature of this whole tour is that Janina, our tour guide (self employed - not even a direct employee of the ground agent that Exodus are using) is excellent! We have got so used to her talking to waiters, sorting out stuff at hostels and the airport that we are afraid we wil be useless for the remainder of our travels in South America!
