We left Amsterdam this afternoon on a KLM Cityhopper (commuter airline) for Bologna Italy. This flight had some really good, but different, food. They had Salmon and Tilapia with fish eggs (because I can not spell the real name - nor can I figure out this key board) and carrot-anise sauce, as well as pinapple ginger dessert with vanilla sauce. This is really interesting stuff, and we even have a picture of the food (Sue took that - not me). We went through the airport in Bolognia without going through customs, so I hope we can get out of the country with out any problems. On our way to the hotel, we passed the golden arches of Bolognia. Really was not all that impressive. We have the same thing two blocks from our house in Bloomington. The hotel is fine, it has some great Danish beer; tomorrow I will try the Italian beer. We do not have any lights in our room however. They say we are supposed to, but we can not figure out how to get them turned on. Our only light so far is the TV, and all the programs are in Italian. We have this funny thing in the bath room next to the toilet. Seems like a short sink at the same level as the toilet. I think it is for the ladies to wash private areas in a high tech manner. Sue thinks its a foot wash. The people at the front desk cant seem to explain it to us, or maybe they dont want to. Any advise would be great. Tomorrow morning we are off to Venice. Maybe tomorrow we will have some pictures to send (other than airline food).
