Where are Dave and Sue, I hear some of you say? Yes I know that most of you by now know what we are doing and why, but this is for the rest, so bare with me.
We have had some fun while back home in bundaberg, like catching up with family and friends.  Even making new friends too. A family dinner with the kids as usual and the catch up with the Tuesday crew. Even managing to go fishing one day and I caught 3 toad fish, yuck each nearly 30cm long.  After the third one I said that was enough and stopped fishing.  So we ended up in Bargara and had fish and chips for lunch.  It was fun having a meal with the kids at the Brothers club for the Chinese New year celebrations.
During our visits to Brisbane we had the chance to catch up with Theresa, Brian and Hannah.  Even having the chance to blow bubbles with Hannah, and watch her play with worms. Also a water fight with mum.
On thursday the 28th March we moved the van to Brisbane.  But why I hear you say, after trying so hard to keep away from big cities your moving there?  Well it is not a matter of want to but have to, sort of.  When you are sick the first place you want to be is home so we moved our home here, and now after being at the hospital we are only about 1/2 hour away.
Why are we here, well Dave has a facial cancerous tumour above his right eye.  The cancer spot that was supposedly removed while in Alice Springs has grown back, and ran across the forehead's nerves to here and growing.  Lucky the Dave found it when he did.  So after many doctor visits in Bundaberg, we started travelling to Brisbane to plastic surgeons here.  Finally on friday they told us what they were going to do.  Henceforth we have moved house here to make life a bit easier.
On the 5th of April Dave is being admitted to hospital, and in the afternoon he goes into surgery.  They have done every known test imaginable, like Ct, xray, Mri, P.E.T. scan etc, finally a blood test and on friday a eye test.  They wanted to know if the other eye is going to do a good job and it is, yes one win.  So on Thursday the 5th, they are going to remove both cancer tumours, and his right eye.  Apparently that is the best thing to help give Dave the best chance of beating this ugly thing.
It was a shock to us, even though we have talked about all the different options that may happen.  Yes we have even had a sookie together, not just one either.  Dave caught Theresa and I having one in pathology while he was in  there.  And there is probably more to come but with everyone praying for us and supporting us, we can have strength to battle this thing one day and one step at a time.
This is our battle for my best friend, my love, and my husband.
