Kalutara is a nice little town based on Gale road which is the main link road up to Colombo. It took us 1.5 hours on a nice local bus to get here.
It turnes out Mum and Davo are staying 5km away but it is not a problem.
Polina and i looked for somewhere to have a drink and assess our options when i started getting hastled by a local guy trying to find me accomodation. I stupidly lisened to him which means you have been drawn in and can escape! He walked a little with me telling me about the Budhist holiday (which i already knew aboout) and then started warning me about dengue feaver and telling me how i needed this mystical substance 'citronella'!!
This guy also told us not to trust the original guy and looks out for our best interests. We have a nice room and bathroom and access to the kitchen so i can cook hurrah!!
It has been a nice 4 days and i got to meet my parents :-) We caught a bus over to their place but they were not there but after a little walk along the beach i herd Mum calling my name from her balcony. It was realy nice to see them again. Davo has kindly paid for us to stay at their place for the next 4 days so im just catching up on the log before we get to the expensive place! We have had a couple of days over their already and it is very nice, we have been getting busses there and hitching back - it has been fun - the last two times have been in a lorry and a nice air con people carrier with a tonking sound system!
So thats it realy, a nice time is being had and we will be in a luxury resort for the next 4 days :-)
Luxury resort was amazing!
We have been in the sea every day, swiming pool every day and i have loved every second of it. It was really nice to see Mum and Davo again and we had a fantastic time playing games in the pool and cards and pool in the evening.
Now on the 14th Mum and Davo have gone home and i am a little sad but looking forward to the next 10 days ahead with Polina before she goes home.
We have decided today to go to Hikkadua which i a train ride away - shouldnt be to taxing for our lazy bodies :-)
