The route to Chennai wa horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It started off ok, we hot a taxi to the ferry prot, caught a boat over the river which droped us right at the station. We then embarked on the mamouth 27 hour journey. The train was as nice as the previous one but quieter, there was only 4 of us in the little segment and the 2 Indian guys there were nice people.
We ate our 1st meal and both of us instantly had food poisoning! We spent the nex 24 hours trying to sleep and couldnt eat either of the other 2 meals we had ordered. I got up only to go to toiolet which was a mission as it is not easy to get down from the top bunk in a hurry!
Towards the end of the journey i couldnt see due to lack of food and water and felt fain every time i stood up! One of the Indian guys gave me some medication which helped a bit but i had no strength to carry my things. Polina was struggling also so we paid a ported to cary our stuff to the taxi and we got a pre paid taxi to the hotel in the guide book. Polina really helped me out and i couldnt have done it without her. She paid the porters who wanted 200RP each! We paid them 20 - the correct price. She also caried all the stuff upstairs to the room. Again i slept while polina bought me some food, medication and water.
I awoke today to feel much better and im kind of ready for the flight - still wek but think i can cope today.
