Chiang Mai

The flight to Chiang Mai was good as well as the other two, i cant believe all went so well with my 3 flights in a day! I arived and called Lyd and met her in some bar in town. It was nice to see her but we were both so tired, me fom the flights and no sleep and her from over indulging on Chang the night before. We slept for the day and then had a really good evening playing pool against an Irish couple, a German guy, 2 Norwegians and 2 Danish girls. Many drinks were had and i tore myself away for bed at 2, Lyd stayed till 5 and we had to get up at 7.30 the next day ha ha!!

Day 2 was meeting Mum, we moved hostels in the morning for something more apropriate for Mum and then went off to meet her. We met with limited hasstle and it was even better to see her - 8 months!! Today we have just been relaxing - i have got too much tiome on my hands at the moment and im just thinking about my time in China with Olga - i need to occupy my thoughts with something else........ food?

Yesterday we went on a bike trip to a wat at the top of the hill - it was nice but the weather was attrocious! Driving at 30km an hour actually stung my eyes! It was the 1st proper trip for Mum and she didnt settle too well on the bike but to be fair after a reletevely short time she got used to it and it was ok. We went to a waterfall also which was beautiful and the colege grounds which were nice. In the evening we went out for a nice meal which Davo paid for (thanks Davo!) and listened to some live music, a young Tghai girl with a beautiful voice played guitar for most the evening. We got back on the motos and made for the GH - a really nice day.

Today we have booked flights down to Surat Thani for Saturday so that will be nice, we have also hired a jeep for the next three days to do the famous loop around Pai and Mae Hon Song - im realy looking forward to it - its nice to drive again!!!!!
