Rannong was literally just a stop so Lyd and i could get on a long tail boat across the river from Thailand to (Myanmar or Bhurma). The whole thing was a bit dodgy, i was a day over my visa and Lyd was three so i paid my 200Bht and got my passport stamped as leaving Thailand then we were ushered to a long tail boat with an Itallian and the three of us were loaded on. There was the boat driver and a little kid (11 years old), the kid took our passports and ran onto this island in the middle of nowhere to get something stamped then returned to the boat. Then when we was leaving to get to mainland Myanmar the boat broke down and we spent 20 mins just being pushed along by the waves. Once the boat was running again we eventually got to Myanmar.

Myanmar was a very dodgy place also. Once we got our passports stamped we then had to get Lyd tome cheap tobacco. This was an effort as literally 20 kids were walking around at your feet trying to sell you Viagra or Cigarettes or Valiam or anything else you could name. Also the guys on the street were all chewing something but it made them look as if there gums were bleeding and every now and again they would spit what looked like blood all over the floor. I think (and hope) it was some weird form of chewing tobacco but it really was disgusting and after 10 minutes i had had enough and we made our way back to the boat.

I gave the little kid some money as he was so persuasive and he actually helped us out quite a bit. We got back with no problems and then got the minibus back to where our bags were waiting.

We arrived back at 11.50 and my bus left at 12 so i literally had to run to catch my 6 hour bus back to Krabbi. Lyd was leaving to meet Stuart & Tasha in Chang Mai up north and i was heading south to see Lyd's friend Maddie who was going to Ton Sai which was a place i was eager to see. So i said a very rushed goodbye to Lyd and left (accidently with her headphones! Sorry Lyd!)
